Hearing arrangements for Seymour court users
The Seymour Court building is currently undergoing repairs after being damaged during the floods. Seymour Magistrates’ Court and Seymour Children’s Courts are still operating and hearing all cases with all attendances arranged as follows:
If you have a criminal matter listed at Seymour, you can:
- speak to your lawyer, if you have one, to determine how you will appear at court
- attend in person on your court date at Shepparton Court, located at 18 High St, Shepparton
- link in to your hearing via WebEx.
You can find the WebEx link for Seymour Court here. Please note, the WebEx link will be published on the website 48 hours before the hearing date.
The Magistrates’ Court is operating under Practice Direction 6 of 2022, and if you are attending in person at Shepparton your lawyer will also need to attend with you.
If you are a party in a family violence intervention order or personal safety intervention order case, please contact the court prior to your hearing to discuss arrangements.
If you have any questions, including requests to have your matter heard at an alternative Magistrates’ Court location, you can contact Seymour Court on 9087 5723 or seymourcoordinator@courts.vic.gov.au
