Application for Licence Eligibility Order

If your licence was cancelled for a driving offence, you will need to apply to VicRoads to be relicensed.

For some driving offences, you need a licence eligibility order from the Magistrates’ Court before you can apply to VicRoads to get your licence back.

You will need to apply to the Magistrates' Court for a licence eligibility order if your driver licence was cancelled due to:

  • drug driving
  • a serious motor vehicle offence, such as:
    • culpable driving causing death or serious injury
    • dangerous or negligently driving while pursued by police
    • theft or attempted theft of a motor vehicle
  • refusing to be tested for drugs.

You can find more information about licence eligibility orders and how to apply in the information sheet at the end of the form.
