Important message for people with hidden safety devices
The Australian Government will test the national warning system, AusAlert, at 2pm Monday 27 July before the system launches in October.
During the test, most mobile phones, and some smart watches and tablets, will vibrate and play a siren-like warning sound for about 10 seconds. No action is required.
While AusAlert messages will share important information to mobile devices, they could make hidden safety devices easier to find.
