Applications for adjournment in civil proceedings – Practice Direction 4 of 2001

Any application for adjournment in a civil proceeding is to be determined in the court where the matter is listed for hearing. Civil adjournment applications in metropolitan courts are not required to be transferred to Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.
